I had a wonderful time listening to this audio course - in
fact, I'm finding that the availability of audio sets such
as this one has changed my commute and errand-running time
from something I endured to something I look forward to. This,
however, is a different topic and I should get on with telling
you about Energy Anatomy.
In Energy Anatomy, Caroline Myss takes the heart of
her two books, Anatomy of the Spirit and Why People
Don't Heal and How they Can as her foundation and then
deepens and expands this understanding of the nature of the
human being with penetrating insight and hundreds of examples.
Myss is nothing if not a great teacher, and her capacity to
see and comprehend the supersensible aspects of human beings
is astonishing in both its clarity and its potential to help
us all understand ourselves better.
In Energy Anatomy, Myss focuses on the nature of the
major energy centers of the human body - the chakras - and
on the types of information they transmit and store. She further
links each of these centers with various organs and physical
processes, demonstrating that illness is directly linked to
the ways we process, balance and understand our world, as
well as to experiences we have had. Illness, in other words,
is a symptomatic result of our inherited bodies and energy
systems, our life experiences, and (here's the really important
part) the ways we have chosen to respond to both.
I have found Myss's Energy Anatomy to be enormously
helpful to me personally, and have also given copies to friends
- all of whom have found it to offer them passage beyond old
symptoms into better health and a more joyous life.
For a complementary view of the human energy system, you
may be interested in reading Rudolf Steiner's Theosophy
and The Foundations
of Human Experience. There are several books below
that are also very helpful.
