Warriors of the Heart
A Handbook for Conflict Resolution
Danaan Parry
$12.95
|
 |
|
|
What popped off the page when I opened Warriors of the
Heart was a quote by Goethe: "Nothing is as important
as this day." When I was in high school, I discovered
another quote by Goethe which I have used as a constant guidepost
in my life: "There is always time enough if we but use
it aright." These two thoughts, both gifts of the same
soul, in a sense describe the central message of this book
- there is always time enough to resolve our differences because
we really have nothing better to do. Warriors of the Heart
is a deep and loving exploration of the nature of conflict
and the nature of human beings. It is also a practical workbook
that teaches a pathway leading to peace, whether it is peace
between nations, groups, individuals or within a family. Danaan
Parry was a great soul - we are fortunate that when he left
the Earth he also left behind a legacy that can be discovered
and renewed by those of us who remain.

Confronting Conflict
A First-Aid Kit for Handling Conflict
Friedrich Glasl
$27.00
|
 |
|
|
Friedrich Glasl has worked with conflict resolution in companies,
schools and communities for over 30 years. Confronting
Conflict is authoritative and modern, containing new examples,
exercises, theory and techniques. The tools Glasl offers are
techniques for analyzing the symptoms of the conflict, ways
of understanding how temperaments affect conflicts and what
can be done about it, how to acknowledge that a conflict exists
and then how to lessen it, and practice in developing considerate
confrontation and empathy. This is a powerful tool chest which
if worked with will lead to greater harmony within groups
and families. Recommended.

Forgiveness
The Greatest Healer of All
Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D.
$12.95
|
 |
|
|
Forgiveness is simple, peaceful and ultimately deeply
penetrating. As with all of Jampolsky's work, the outer simplicity
is the result not of superficiality, but of the depth of work
the author himself has done within the subject area. This
is one of those little books to which we can turn again -
to find a friend, to find guidance, to locate the path out
of the daily hell of unforgiveness. Powerful, direct, healing.
Unhesitatingly recommended.
